The Barbados Labor Party – “We cannot be soft on crime!”

Barbados Labour Party Candidate for St. Philip South, Indar Weir, says if elected to office in the next general election, the BLP will implement a   plan to deal with gun violence and will not take a “soft” approach on crime.”

Mr. Weir was speaking at a Town Hall Meeting organized by his constituency branch at the Crane Nazarene Church last evening where matters surrounding the environment and crime prevention were discussed.

Mr. Weir says the country has to “take full responsibility of protecting the people of the country, give them hope and [ensure] that people don’t feel a sense of fear in existing in their country.”

He says the BLP will do all in its power to rebuild neighborhood watches; something he finds useful and critical link in communities.
