Deputy Police Commissioner stresses need for new ways to tackle crime

Deputy Police Commissioner, Erwin Boyce has been stressing the need for new approaches to tackling crime saying old strategies may no longer be effective.

He was speaking at the George Lamming Primary School during a graduation ceremony for students who participated in the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) Program.

Mr. Boyce says a new more inclusive approach is now being adopted that involves the entire society in trying to prevent crime by targeting its sources…while also using some tougher approaches where required.
